A MAGICAL SETTING IN THE BEST LOCATION
Surrounded by native trees, shrubs and bird song, yet a minute's drive away from beaches, Wellington International Airport, Wellington Zoo and Wellington City, the Marae is a favourite venue for conferences, workshops, training, rehearsals, family reunions and retreats. VENUE HIRE OR ACCOMODATION
The Marae can be booked for a few hours or a few days. We have kitchen and dinning room facilities, flexible spaces that can be used for meetings, collaborations or rehearsal space.
We also have capacity to accomodate up to 200 people at a time. People sleep in "Marae style" on mattresses on the floor in warm wharenui (large rooms).

Tapu Te Ranga Marae is unlike any other place - you will be embraced by it's warmth, openness, peace and tranquility. We call this "manaakitanga" - the spirit of acceptance and support.
CATERING TO YOUR NEEDS
Groups can self-cater or Tapu Te Ranga Marae can cater for your event. We provide nutritious, fresh, exquisite and bountiful meals. And we can cater to any dietary requirements.
Dinning Room and Kitchen
The kitchen and dinning room is a great multipurpose space for entertaining and enjoying everyone's company.
Wharenui
We can accomodate people in wharenui (large rooms), known as "Pare Waaka" and "Kirihika."
Flexible Spaces
Most rooms are multi-purpose. We have tables, chairs, projectors and white boards available.
Inspiring Architecture
Salvaged and recycled windows, car cases, timber and other material were used to create this architectual icon.
Green Space
There is plenty of green, expansive space for children and adults alike to run around and go exploring.
Quiet Corners
Relax among the native bush, the singing birds and tranquil air. Enjoy the quaint surroundings of our grounds.
